RESTRICTOR ROD ASSEMBLY
Restrictor rod assembly for early Triumph telescopic front fork damping internals, part 97-1124 (formerly H1124).
This is the restrictor rod assembly for the telescopic front forks, as used on the early damping-rod fork legs. It's listed under Triumph part number 97-1124, with H1124 being the earlier form of the same number as printed in older parts books. The catalog shows it turning up across the telescopic fork figures for the T20SS, T20SH, the 6T and T110, and the TR6 and T120, so it covers a spread of the early damping-rod fork setups from that era.

Inside a damping-rod fork leg, the restrictor rod works with the damper tube to control oil flow as the fork compresses and rebounds, which is what gives the leg its damping action rather than just letting it move freely on the springs. If you're rebuilding a set of these forks and this piece is worn, bent, or missing, oil control at the bottom of the stroke gets sloppy and the ride goes vague.
We don't have extra dimensional or material specs on file for this one beyond what's in the description, so if you're matching it to a specific fork leg, bring in your old part or give us a call so we can confirm you're getting the right rod for your fork internals.
We've never carried this one. Tell us what you're after and we'll go looking — you'll get a price and photos before you commit to anything.
