SWING ARM BUSHING 650 TRIUMPH 63-70 (replaces 82-5310)
Swing arm pivot bushing for 650 Triumph twins, 1963-70, replaces the earlier 82-5310.
This is the swing arm bushing for 650 Triumph twins, part number 82-6042, which shows up in our records as replacing the earlier 82-5310. It lives in the swinging fork assembly at the back of the bike where the fork pivots on the frame, and it's the wear surface that lets the rear suspension move without slop developing between the fork and the pivot spindle.

The catalog carries this one across 650 Triumph appearances from 1963 through 1970, so it's a long-running part across that swinging fork design before things changed later on. If your parts book still lists the older 82-5310, this is the number that replaced it going forward, and F6042 is just the same part number in the older-style listing.
Bushings like this are wear items - when the swing arm starts to feel loose or the bike wanders at the back end, this is one of the first things worth checking. Worth having a look at the pivot area when you're doing suspension work regardless of what year bike you're on, since play here shows up as vague handling more than any one obvious symptom.
