Oil Pump
Oil pump for the Triumph unit-twin engine, feeding the oiling system under the release valve and manifold.
This is the oil pump for the unit-construction Triumph twin, the part that keeps oil circulating through the engine under pressure and returning it to the tank. It shows up in the parts books under the figure for the oil pump, release valve, manifold and tappets, so it sits down in the bottom half of the motor working alongside the release valve and oil manifold.

This number, 70-6928, is a later form of an earlier pump listed as 70-3878, and it was itself superseded down the line by 70-9421H (also seen written as E6928 in some references). If you're chasing a pump for your motor and your parts book lists any of those three numbers, you're looking at the same lineage of part.
Oil pumps take a beating over the years from wear inside the body and worn gears, so if you're rebuilding the bottom end this is one worth checking closely rather than just bolting the old one back in. Call the shop if you need help sorting out which of the three numbers matches what your particular engine takes.
