Spring washer
A general-purpose spring washer used under nuts and bolts across many areas of the bike to keep fasteners from loosening.
S26-3 is a plain spring washer, the kind Triumph used all over the bike wherever a nut or bolt needed help staying put under vibration. It's not tied to one job or one system - the parts books show it turning up under fork cap bolts, exhaust pipe and silencer fittings, mudguard stays, oil tank mounts, ignition coil brackets, and more. If you're chasing down a small washer for a fastener anywhere on an older Triumph, there's a decent chance this is it.

Because it's used so widely, don't assume it's a one-off for whatever job you're doing - check the fastener size on your bike before ordering, since this washer only works with a specific stud or bolt diameter.
The factory eventually renumbered this part to 60-4260, so if you're working from a later parts book and can't find S26-3 listed, that's where it moved to. Same physical washer, new number.
