Norton Speedometer Cable
A speedometer drive cable from the early '70s instrument catalog listings, running from the drive point up to the speedo head.
NM.25087 is a speedometer cable, the flexible drive that runs from the gearbox or hub drive up to the speedo head in the instrument cluster. It's what makes the needle move and turns the odometer, and if it's frayed, kinked, or the drive tangs are worn round, you'll get a jumpy needle or no reading at all.

This one shows up in the catalog under the instruments and instrument cases and drive cables figures, spanning appearances from 1971 through 1973. That places it in the instrument drive lineup for that era without pinning down a specific model, so if you're matching this to a bike, check the cable length and the fittings on both ends against what's currently on there before you order.
Call the shop if you're not sure this is the right cable for your setup. Cable runs and drive ends changed around over the years and across models, so it's worth confirming before you commit.
