Norton Timing Pinion Nut (oil pump worm)
Nut that secures the oil pump worm gear pinion on the engine timing side.
PN · NM.24732
This is the timing pinion nut that secures the oil pump worm gear on the timing side of the engine, down in the crankshaft and camshaft area. It's a small but important fastener that keeps that gear locked onto its shaft so the oil pump drive stays put and doesn't work itself loose over time.
