This is herringbone hose in the 5/32 x 18 size, the ribbed rubber tubing you'll recognize from oil lines and vent lines on older British bikes. The herringbone pattern in the wall of the hose lets it flex and route around tight corners without collapsing or kinking the way a plain smooth-bore hose would.
