FLATBACK HEADLAMP RUBBER (71-72)
Flatback headlamp mounting rubber for 71-72 style headlamp shells, also listed as I109.
This is the flatback headlamp rubber, the mounting gasket that sits between the headlamp shell and the shell mount on flatback-style headlamp assemblies. The catalog description ties it to the 71-72 flatback headlamp bucket, and it shows up in our records under the older I109 designation as well as the current 99-1000 number.

It lives in the wiring harness, switches, and tail lamp side of the parts book, which is where a lot of the headlamp shell hardware gets filed. If your headlamp rubber has gone hard, cracked, or shrunk, it stops sealing the shell properly and can let moisture and vibration in around the light unit.
We don't have a lot more detail on this one beyond what's noted here, so give the shop a call if you want to double check it matches your particular headlamp shell before you order.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
