622/082 'O' ring for air and throttle screws

'O' ring (Amal 622/082) that seals the air and throttle adjusting screws on Amal Concentric carburetors.

Superseded by 622/082.

This is a small 'O' ring used on Amal Concentric carburetors, specifically for the air and throttle screws. It's a simple sealing part but an important one - if the ring is worn or missing, the screw won't hold its adjustment properly and you'll get inconsistent idle or air/fuel mixture that won't stay put once you set it.

The catalog shows this ring turning up across a wide run of Amal Concentric carb figures, from Mk I and Mk II Concentrics on TR7RV and T140 series carbs through the earlier T90/T100 carburetor listings. It's listed under the identifying number 622/082, which appears to be Amal's own reference for the ring, and that number carries straight through as the current part number too.

If you're rebuilding a Concentric carb and the throttle or air adjusting screw feels loose, gritty, or won't hold its setting under vibration, this little ring is worth checking as part of the job. It's cheap insurance to have on hand when you're doing a full carb rebuild - actually, better to say: it's worth keeping a spare or two around given how often these show up in a teardown.
