This is the right-hand outer fork member listed in the telescopic front fork section of the parts book, appearing in the 1974 catalog. The outer member is the lower sliding tube of the fork leg, the piece that carries the fork sliders and connects up to the wheel and mudguard mounting points on that side of the bike.
