Front fender (stainless steel) .
Stainless steel front fender for Triumph, catalog number 97-1997, from the U.S.-market mudguard listings.
This is the front fender, stainless steel, catalog number 97-1997, with the older factory alias H1997 also on file. It shows up in the MUDGUARDS (FENDERS U.S.A.) section of the parts book, so it was the fender spec'd for the U.S. market rather than the standard steel piece.

Being stainless, it doesn't rust the way a painted or chromed steel fender will if the finish gets chipped, and you can polish it back up if it dulls over time. It bolts on in place of the standard front mudguard and carries the stays and mounting points you'd expect from a fender in this position.
Our catalog record ties this one to appearances across 1967 to 1968. Give the shop a call if you want to double check it lines up with your specific machine before you order.
