This is the rubber plug that fits into the top of the headlamp nacelle on 1966 Triumphs. The nacelle housing carries the headlamp and switches up top, and this small plug fills an unused hole in the sheet metal there, keeping water and road grime out of the switch area.

It's a simple piece but an easy one to lose track of once it's gone missing, since a bare hole in the nacelle top looks pretty rough and leaves the wiring underneath exposed to the weather.
