This is the right-hand carburetor body for a 30mm Amal, cast in the zinc pre-Premier style. The carb body is the core casting that everything else on the carburetor bolts to or fits into - the slide, the jet block, the float bowl, the mixing chamber all live on or around this piece. Being marked R/H tells you it's meant for the right-side carb on a twin-carb setup, so it's not a part you can swap in for the left side and call it done.
