Footrest rubber LH
Left-hand footrest rubber that slips over the footrest peg for grip and cushioning.
This is the left-hand footrest rubber, part number 83-7256. It's the rubber cover that slips over the footrest peg to give your boot some grip and cushion the vibration coming up through the frame. Catalog listings put it in the footrest and engine mounting fittings section, so it's mounted right where the rider's foot sits, on the left side of the bike.

Catalog records show this one appearing across entries from 1979 to 1985. These rubbers dry out and split with age and UV exposure, so if yours is cracked, hardened, or the footrest is bare metal underneath your boot, it's worth swapping in a fresh one.
Make sure you're ordering the left-hand piece and not the right, since the two sides aren't listed under the same number.
