RUBBER TANK TOP PLUG
Rubber center-mount plug that sits under the tank badge on seamed Triumph and BSA gas tanks.
This is the rubber grommet that sits in the center mounting hole on top of a seamed gas tank, right where the tank badge or tank center mount goes. It sits between the tank top and the mounting hardware, cushioning that fitting and keeping the paint and metal from wearing against the badge stud. The catalog shows it in the GAS TANKS AND TWINSEAT section, and it's a plain plug with no badge logo molded into it.

Owners with an older parts book may see this listed as F13068 - same part, just the earlier reference number before Triumph switched over to the 83- prefix numbering.
Our listing places this in catalogs from 1972, so if you're restoring a seamed tank from that era this is the piece that goes under the tank badge mount. It's a small, easy part to overlook until the old one's perished or gone missing, and it's worth having on hand when you're putting a tank back together.
