This is the right-hand distance piece from the swinging arm and rear suspension assembly, part number 83-2690, also listed under the older F12690 number. It's a small spacer that sits in the swinging arm pivot area on the right side of the bike, taking up the gap so the pivot components line up and clamp correctly.
