Screwed peg
A slotted, partially-threaded peg that mounts the oil tank via a rubber bushing, taking a 1/4-26 CEI nut.
This is the screwed mounting peg for the oil tank, catalog number 82-6672, also found under the earlier F6672 designation. It's part of the oil tank figure in the parts books, where it works alongside a rubber bushing pressed into the eyelet mount on the tank to give the mounting point some cushioning against vibration.

The peg is a special fastener, threaded on one end to take a 1/4-26 CEI nut, with a slot cut into the head so you can hold it steady with a screwdriver while the nut is tightened down. That slot matters because there's no wrench flat to grab once it's seated in the rubber bushing.
Our catalog record has this appearing across a run of years in the mid-to-late 1960s. If you're matching this to your bike's oil tank mounting hardware, bring the old peg or the tank itself to the counter so we can confirm you've got the right one before you order.
