Front mounting strap for the oil tank, also listed under the older F5949 number.
The 82-5949 is a front strap for the oil tank, as shown in the OIL TANK figure of the parts book. It's the mounting strap that helps hold the oil tank in place at the front, part of the hardware that keeps the tank secure against vibration and the rigors of the road.
