Right knee grip
Right-side knee grip for petrol tanks from the mid-1960s, later superseded by 82-5401.
This is the right-side knee grip that mounts to the petrol tank, appearing in the catalog under the PETROL (GAS) TANKS figures. It's one of a pair of pads riders grip with their knees to hold the bike steady, and this is the R.H. one specifically. The older parts books list it as F5402 before the numbering switched over to the 82-5402 form.

Catalog records show it appearing across tank listings from 1964 through 1967, so it's tied to tanks from that stretch of production. Our records show this number was later superseded by 82-5401, so if you're chasing a replacement and your parts book still shows 82-5402, that's the same physical part under the newer number.
If you're replacing one, check your tank shape against what the catalog lists for these years before ordering, since tank styles changed and grip fit follows the tank.
