DRAIN PLUG,OIL TANK/SUMP EARLY OIF 3/8-28
Oil tank or sump drain plug, 3/8-28 thread, for early OIF Triumph twins.
This is the drain plug for the oil tank or sump on early OIF Triumph twins, threaded 3/8-28. It shows up across a wide run of catalog years, from the mid-60s into 1980, and appears in the oil tank, chaincase, gearbox inner cover, frame, and motor unit fitting figures, which tells you this same plug gets used at more than one drain point on the bike depending on model and year.

It's a simple part but an important one to keep in good shape. A drain plug that's rounded off, cross-threaded, or missing its sealing surface is a classic way to end up with an oil leak or a stripped tank boss, so it's worth checking the condition of yours whenever you're doing an oil change.
The older alias for this part is F5343, so if your parts book or an old invoice lists that number, it's the same physical plug as 82-5343.
