SWINGING FORK
The rear swinging fork (swingarm) that pivots at the frame and carries the rear wheel and suspension units.
This is the swinging fork, or swingarm as most folks would call it today, that carries the rear wheel and pivots at the frame to let the rear suspension do its job. It's the piece that sits between the frame pivot and the rear axle, with the suspension units mounting up top to control the ride. The catalog lists this under the legacy F4131 number as well as 82-4131, so if you're working from an older parts book you may see it either way.

Our records show this part turning up in the swinging fork and suspension unit section of the catalog across a couple of model years in the early 1960s. That's about all the detail we have on file for it beyond the part identity itself.
If you're trying to match this to a specific frame or model, give us a call and we'll help confirm fitment before you order. Swinging forks vary enough between frame types that it pays to check before you commit to one.
