BUSHING,SWING ARM 500 T20
Swing arm pivot bushing for the Triumph 500 T20, PN 82-4076 (older F4076 number).
This is the swing arm bushing listed in the parts books as 82-4076, also found under the older F4076 number. It shows up in the swinging fork and frame figures, where it fits into the pivot area that lets the rear suspension move up and down. As a bushing, its job is to take up the wear between the swing arm and its spindle so the rear end doesn't get sloppy at the pivot.

The catalog description ties this one to the 500 T20 line, and the appearances in our records run from 1963 through 1974, so it's a part that stuck around across a good stretch of production. If you're pulling the swing arm for a rebuild, this is exactly the kind of wear item worth checking - a tired bushing here will show up as vague or wandering handling.
Given the age of these bikes, worn pivot bushings are common enough that it's worth inspecting even if you're not sure this is the failure point yet. Check your parts book against this number and the F4076 alias to make sure it matches what's called out for your machine before you order.
