This is a front engine plate set for the 5T and 6T alternator models, built for bikes that already run alternator electrics rather than a dynamo. The set is machined without a hole for a generator, so it's meant for engines that have already moved over to alternator charging and don't need that extra cutout in the plate.

Front engine plates bolt between the crankcase and frame down at the front of the engine, tying the motor into the frame and closing up the front of the crankcase area. Getting the right version matters here since the generator-hole and no-generator-hole plates aren't interchangeable if your charging setup doesn't match.
