The part also carries the older number 76-293, which is the same washer under its earlier form. If your parts book lists one number and a supplier catalog lists the other, they're both pointing at this same piece.
It's a small item, but a missing or wrong washer here can let the styling strip trim sit loose or mar the tank finish where it mounts. If you're replacing tank trim, worth having a couple of these on hand.
