PRIMARY COVER,L/H SHIFT
Outer primary chaincase cover for the left-shift Triumph 750 twin, later replacement for the 71-7003 cover.
This is the outer primary chaincase cover for the left-shift version of the Triumph 750 twin, part number 71-7465. It bolts over the primary drive - clutch and chain - on the left side of the engine and carries the shift shaft through to the gearbox on that side, which is what sets it apart from the earlier right-shift covers.

You may also see 71-7003 listed alongside this cover in supplier catalogs, so if your parts book lists that number, call us to confirm which cover you need before ordering. This later cover was revised with an external seal and a bush where the shift shaft passes through, and it's built for the crossover shift shaft used on the later left-shift bikes.
If you're working on an earlier 750 that originally came with the 71-7003 cover, this later cover can sometimes be made to fit, but the bush may need some fitting work to line up with the crossover shaft properly. Best to have both parts in hand or talk it through with us before you commit to swapping one for the other.
