Tappet inspection cover
Tappet inspection cover for the cylinder head on T140/TR7-era Triumph twins, PN 71-3671.
This is the tappet inspection cover for the cylinder head, part number 71-3671. It sits on top of the head over the rocker gear and lets you get in to check tappet clearances without pulling the whole rocker box apart. The catalog shows it across the cylinder block and head figures for T140V, T140E, and TR7RV setups, so it belongs to that generation of the 750 twin's top end.

It's a small, simple piece of hardware but an easy one to lose track of when the top end is apart for a valve check, so worth keeping with the rest of your head fasteners and gasket set when you're doing service work.
If you're ordering, check what your engine currently has fitted before assuming this is a straight swap, since covers and gaskets in this family have shown up under a couple of different part numbers over the years.
