Bridge plate
A cylinder head bridge plate used under the head fasteners on T140/TR7-family top ends.
This is the bridge plate that sits under the head bolts on the cylinder head, part of the top-end hardware that clamps the head down to the barrel and crankcase. It shows up across several cylinder block and head figures for the T140V, T140E, and TR7RV, so it's a piece worth checking against your own parts book before you order.

The bridge plate spreads the load from the head bolt or socket nut across the head casting rather than letting it bear on a single point, which matters when you're torquing down a head that's been off the bike a few times. It's a small, unglamorous part, but a warped or missing one can throw off your torque readings and lead to head gasket trouble down the line.
We stock these as a straightforward replacement item. If you're doing a full head service, it's worth having one on hand along with the rest of your head bolt hardware.
