GASKET,GEARBOX SPROCKET WINDOW - UNIT TWINS

Gasket for the gearbox sprocket inspection window on unit-construction Triumph twins, sealing the cover plate against oil leaks.

PN · 71-1419
Superseded by 70-3832.

This is the gasket that seals the gearbox sprocket inspection window on unit-construction Triumph twins. The window is the removable cover plate that gives access to the gearbox sprocket, and this gasket sits between that cover and the case to keep primary chaincase oil from seeping out around it.

It's a simple flat gasket, but a torn or hardened one is a common source of a slow chaincase oil leak that owners chase for months without checking this spot first. The old book number for this part was 10T, and it also shows up in supplier listings as E11419 if you're cross-referencing an older parts list.

Triumph eventually revised this part under a new factory number, 70-3832, so if your current parts book lists that number instead of 71-1419, you're looking at the same gasket. Appears across gearbox and crankcase-area figures in the catalog for unit twins; if you're not sure which window cover you have, check the fit before ordering.
