BSA VALVE SPRING TOP COLLAR A50/A65/250
Valve spring top collar for BSA A50/A65/250 engines, seats the valve spring under the collets.
This is a valve spring top collar for BSA A50/A65/250 engines, listed under 71-1165 with the older reference B182D. It shows up in the parts book under the cylinder barrel, exhaust pipes, and valves section, which places it right at the top of the valve gear where the spring seats against the retaining collets.

The collar's job in that assembly is to give the valve spring a solid seat at the top so the collets can lock the spring onto the valve stem. It's a small part but it's doing real work every time that valve opens and closes, so wear or damage here is worth catching before it causes bigger problems in the head.
This one is a BSA part, not a Triumph part, despite where it might turn up in a mixed inventory. If you're working on an A50, A65, or the 250 single, this is the collar those engines call for. Give us a ring if you're not sure which cylinder head variant you've got before ordering.
