BSA Inspection plug — outer cover

An inspection plug for the outer primary chaincase cover, letting you check the clutch/chain area without removing the whole cover.

PN · 70-9816

This is an inspection plug that fits into the outer primary chaincase cover, the panel that closes off the clutch and primary chain area on the side of the motor. It's a small threaded or push-in fitting meant to be removed for checking chain tension or oil level without pulling the whole cover off.
