PN · 70-9254

This is the small return spring that sits under the throttle adjuster screw on the throttle linkage. It's part number 70-9254, also shown in older parts books as E9254. It shows up in the manifold and throttle linkage figures, and in the carburetter throttle linkage figures, across catalog listings running from 1969 to 1974.

The adjuster screw sets idle position on the throttle arm, and this spring keeps tension on that screw so it doesn't work loose or drift out of adjustment from engine vibration. It's a small part but an important one to have doing its job right - a lost or weak spring here can make idle speed wander on you.
