Locknut – throttle rod
Locknut for the carburetor throttle rod linkage, part 70-9253 (also 622/138).
This is the locknut used on the throttle rod linkage that runs to the carburetor on the throttle side. It's a small but important fastener - it holds adjustment on the throttle rod so the carb slide moves the way it should when you crack the throttle open, and it keeps that adjustment from creeping loose with engine vibration.

The catalog lists this under carburetor throttle linkage, and it shows up in the 1973 model year records we have on file. It carries an alternate number, 622/138, which is the Amal-style numbering some parts books use for the same piece.
It's not a part that wears out on its own, but it's cheap insurance to check when you're troubleshooting a throttle that won't hold its setting or feels like it's slipping. If you're rebuilding the throttle linkage or replacing the rod itself, this is worth having on hand.
We've never carried this one. Tell us what you're after and we'll go looking — you'll get a price and photos before you commit to anything.
