MAINSHAFT BEARING
A ball bearing for the right-hand mainshaft in the gearbox, listed under 70-8151.
This is a mainshaft bearing, part number 70-8151, listed in the gearbox records as a ball bearing for the mainshaft on the right-hand side. It's a small but important piece of hardware that keeps the mainshaft running true inside the gearbox casing, taking up radial load as the shaft spins.

Our records show this number was later superseded by 04-0099, so if you're chasing this bearing down for an older gearbox and it's not turning up under 70-8151 anymore, that's the current number to ask for. It also shows up under the alias LJX5/8, which is the bearing manufacturer's own part designation - so if you're cross-shopping bearing houses, that number is worth having on hand.
We don't have a lot more detail on file for this one beyond what's above. If you're not sure whether it's the right bearing for the gearbox you're working on, give us a call and we'll help confirm before you order.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
