Oil control ring
Oil control ring for the Triumph engine, part of the piston ring set that scrapes oil off the cylinder wall.
This is a Triumph oil control ring, listed in the catalog under the crankshaft and connecting rods section. The oil control ring is one of the ring set fitted to the piston, and its job is scraping excess oil off the cylinder wall on the down stroke and returning it to the sump so it doesn't get pulled up into the combustion chamber and burned.

The older parts book number for this one is E6894, so if you're working from an early parts list and see that number, it's the same physical part as 70-6894.
Our records show this one turning up across catalog entries from 1967 through 1974, but we don't have a specific model or bore size tied to it in our system. Piston rings are sized to bore and often sold by standard or oversize, so check what your piston calls for before ordering rather than going by part number alone.
