Pump body

The main casting of the oil pump assembly, housing the pump mechanism in the timing chest.

PN · 70-6680

70-6680 is the oil pump body, the main casting that houses the pump's plunger or gears and bolts up inside the timing chest. It's the core piece of the oil pump assembly, shown in the parts book alongside the release valve, oil pump manifold, and tappets, so it lives right in the middle of that whole oil-feed setup at the bottom of the engine.

This casting is what everything else in the pump attaches to and seals against, so if you're rebuilding a worn or leaking pump, the body itself is usually the part you're checking first for wear or scoring. The older alias E6680 is the same physical part under the earlier numbering style, so if your parts book or an old invoice shows E6680, that's this piece.

Our records show this one showing up across catalog entries from 1967 into 1974, but we don't have anything further narrowing it to a specific model in that stretch. Bring in your existing pump or check against your engine before ordering to make sure it matches what you've got.
