Spring – oil control valve

Spring for the oil control valve in the crankcase/oil pump area of the engine, also listed under the older number E6567.

PN · 70-6567

70-6567 is the spring used in the oil control valve inside the crankcase area of the engine. It shows up in the catalog under the crankcase figures as well as the inner primary cover/oil pump listing, which tells you it's tied into the oiling system rather than gearbox or ignition parts. The older factory number for this same spring is E6567, so if you're working from an early parts book that's the number you'll see instead of 70-6567.

This is a small, easy-to-overlook part, but the oil control valve it lives in matters for keeping oil routed correctly through the bottom end. A tired or broken spring in that valve can throw off oil pressure and flow, so if you're chasing an oiling issue on a rebuild it's worth pulling and checking.

The catalog shows this part appearing across rows from 1969 into 1974, which puts it in the same general era as the other crankcase and oil pump hardware in this shop's stock. Beyond that we don't have more detail tying it to one specific model, so give us a call and we'll confirm fitment before you order.
