Distance collar

A crankshaft distance collar (spacer) from the crank and connecting rod assembly, later renumbered 71-2664.

PN · 70-4006
Superseded by 71-2664.

This is a distance collar that lives on the crankshaft, right in with the connecting rods per the catalog figure it appears under. It's a spacer piece, the kind of thing that sets the correct gap between rotating components on the crank assembly so everything runs true once the case halves go back together.

The catalog carries this one under 70-4006, with E4006 as the older-style number for the same part. It shows up across a handful of catalog listings spanning 1964 to 1968. Triumph later revised the part number to 71-2664, so if you're working from a later parts book or sourcing a replacement, that's the number you may find it under now — same physical piece, just a factory renumbering.

Because this sits down in the bottom end with the crank and rods, get your case split and measurements sorted before ordering so you know you're grabbing the right spacer for the job.
