O RING 9/16 - SHIFT SHAFT - Replaces 60-3530
A 9/16 inch O-ring used on the Triumph gearbox shift shaft and outer cover, also fitted at the tachometer drive.
This is the 9/16 inch O-ring Triumph used on the gearbox outer cover, shift shaft, and quadrant area, and it also shows up on the tachometer drive in the catalog listings. It's a small sealing ring, but it keeps oil in the gearbox where the shift shaft passes through the cover, and it's cheap to have on hand so you're not chasing a leak or a weeping cover for want of a two-dollar part.

In the parts books this one replaced the older 60-3530 number, and it was later superseded itself by 60-3548 — if you're working from an older book or a used parts bin and see either of those numbers, you're looking at the same physical ring. It turns up across a run of gearbox outer cover and lever figures as well as the speedo/tach figure, so don't be surprised if your bike needs more than one depending on what's built up on the shaft and cover.
Given how many places this same size O-ring gets used on these gearboxes, it's worth checking your parts book for the exact figure before you order just one — cheap insurance isn't the phrase, but it doesn't hurt to grab a couple while you're in there.
