Exhaust pipe adaptor
Exhaust pipe adaptor fitting between the cylinder head and exhaust pipe on Triumph's smaller unit twins, superseded by 70-9510.
This is the exhaust pipe adaptor that fits between the cylinder head and the exhaust pipe on Triumph's smaller unit twins. It shows up across the cylinder block and head figures for the T90, 3TA, T100S, T100C, T100R, T100T, 5TA, and T100SS lines, so it's a piece that gets called out a lot in the parts books for these 350 and 500 twins. Old catalogs list it as 70-2961 or the earlier E2961 form, and it's also referenced by an outside diameter spec of 1.397 inches.

Functionally it's the go-between - it seats onto the head's exhaust port and gives the exhaust pipe a proper register to seal against. If you're chasing an exhaust leak at the head on one of these smaller twins, this is a part worth checking.
Worth knowing: this number has been superseded by 70-9510 in the factory numbering, so if you're cross-shopping parts lists or a supplier only stocks the current part, that's the number to look for. Bring your old part along or double check your parts book figure to make sure you're ordering the right one for your particular head.
