Cylinder head bolt (for torque stay)
Cylinder head bolt that also secures the torque stay bracket on unit 650 Triumph twins.
This is one of the cylinder head bolts that also carries the torque stay bracket on unit-construction 650 twins. It's a longer bolt than the standard head fasteners because it has to pass through the head, the torque stay arm, and thread down into the barrel, tying the top of the engine to the frame to cut down on flex and vibration under load. The catalog also calls it E1596 in the older letter-prefix numbering, so if you're working from an early parts book that's the same physical part.

On these engines it lives at the cylinder head, right where the torque stay bracket bolts to the frame downtube. Appearances in our catalog run across 6T and TR6 head castings from the mid-to-late 1960s. If you're rebuilding a top end and pulling the stay off, this is the bolt you'll want to check for thread condition before you put it back together.
We stock this one individually rather than only in a full head bolt set, since it's a common one to strip or lose track of during a teardown.
