OIL SCAVANGE TUBE,54-62
Oil scavenge tube for the crankcase, part of the oil return path back to the tank, cataloged for 1954-62.
This is the oil scavenge tube listed under 70-1508, also known by its older E1508 designation, and it lives in the crankcase area of the engine. Its job is to carry oil back out of the crankcase so it can return to the oil tank rather than pooling in the bottom of the motor, part of the dry-sump return path that these engines rely on.

The catalog places it across a 1954-62 span in the crankcase figure, but our records don't pin it down to a specific model beyond that. If you're rebuilding a bottom end from this era, this is the kind of tube that's easy to overlook until oil starts finding its way where it shouldn't, so it's worth checking condition and fit against your own crankcase before you button things up.
