Camshaft bush

A camshaft bush from the crankcase assembly, later renumbered 71-0286.

PN · 70-1479
Superseded by 71-0286.

70-1479 is a camshaft bush, part of the crankcase assembly on the engine's bottom end. It's a bearing surface the camshaft rides in, and it's one of the parts that keeps the cam running true inside the crankcase rather than knocking around on wear.

This number shows up in the crankcase section of the parts books across catalog entries running 1960 through 1967, and its older alias is E1479. Triumph later revised the part and renumbered it to 71-0286, so if you're working from a later parts book or a supplier list, that's the same physical bush under a new number.

If you're rebuilding a bottom end and pulling the old bush, check bore wear and fit carefully before installing a replacement. We don't have more detail on the specific dimensions here, so give us a call if you need to confirm exact fit before ordering.
