Cylinder stud
A cylinder base stud that anchors the barrel to the crankcase on Triumph 650 engines.
70-0672 is a cylinder base stud, one of the fasteners that clamps the cylinder barrel down onto the crankcase mouth. It's a plain steel stud, threaded on both ends, that lives in the crankcase figure of the parts book and works alongside a nut and washer on the top end to hold the barrel square to the case while the head bolts do their job.

Older parts books list this one as E672 before Triumph moved to the numeric PN system, so if you're working from an early book and see that letter-prefix number, it's the same physical part as 70-0672. Our catalog record for this stud runs across a handful of crankcase listings from the early-to-mid 1960s.
These studs get pulled into shear and torque loads every time the engine runs, so it's worth checking them for stretch, corrosion, or damaged threads whenever the barrel comes off. Since a full base uses more than one stud and there's at least one companion stud used with hollow dowels on some crankcases, take stock of what's actually in your case before ordering just the one.
