BSA Rubber pad, rear, 2 and 4 gallon

Rear rubber pad that cushions the steel petrol tank against the frame on 2 and 4 gallon BSA tank setups.

PN · 68-8018

This is the rear tank rubber pad, part number 68-8018, for the steel petrol tank on BSA machines fitted with the 2 or 4 gallon tank. It sits between the underside of the tank and the frame's rear tank mount, cushioning that contact point so the tank doesn't sit metal-on-metal against the frame rail.

The catalog lists this pad under both the PETROL TANK (STEEL) and TWIN SEAT figures, which tells you it's a piece that gets handled whenever the tank or seat area comes apart - worth checking when you're doing general bodywork on the bike, since it's an easy thing to lose track of or leave out when reassembling.

Our records show this part appearing across catalog entries from 1969 to 1970 for the 2 and 4 gallon steel tank setup. If you're not sure your tank matches that spec, give us a call before ordering.
