BSA Bottom yoke and steering stem
Bottom yoke and steering stem assembly, from a 1969 STEERING HEAD parts listing.
This is a bottom yoke with steering stem, the part that carries the fork legs and pivots in the steering head bearings. The catalog record we have shows it appearing in a STEERING HEAD figure for 1969, but we only have the one listing for it, so there isn't much more detail to pass along from our own records.

A bottom yoke and stem assembly like this is what the fork legs clamp into up front, and it's what the whole front end swivels on when you turn the bars. It takes the steering bearings on the stem and the fork leg clamps on the yoke itself.
Given how thin our record is on this one, best to have your bike in front of you or your old part on the bench for comparison before ordering. Call the shop and we'll help confirm fitment before you buy.
