U BOLT SKID PLATE
U bolt used to mount the skid plate/undershield to the frame.

This is the U bolt that helps secure the skid plate (also called an undershield) underneath the frame. It's a small, plain hardware piece, but it's the kind of fastener that's easy to lose track of when a bike's been apart for a while, and skid plates tend to work loose or rattle if the mounting hardware isn't right.
