BSA 'O' ring, release valve plug

An O-ring seal for the release valve plug, found in the oil pump and gearbox sprocket area.

PN · 68-0611

This is an O-ring that seals the release valve plug, a small but important piece that keeps oil from seeping out around that plug once it's threaded home. It shows up in the catalog under the oil pump and gearbox sprocket figures, which tells us it lives in that general area of the engine/gearbox assembly where oil pressure and flow are being managed.

It's a cheap part to overlook and an easy one to replace while you've got things apart. If you're already in there working on the oil pump or sprocket area, it's worth pulling the old one and checking it for hardening or cracking before you button things back up.

Our record on this one is thin - one catalog listing, one year on file. If you need to confirm this is the right O-ring for your particular release valve plug, give us a call and we'll sort it out before you order.
