BOLT,3/8BSFX20X4-1/16
3/8 BSF x 20 TPI cylinder head bolt, 4-1/16 in. long, for the cylinder head/rocker box assembly.
This is a 3/8 BSF cylinder head bolt, 20 TPI, measuring 4-1/16 inches long. It shows up in the CYLINDER HEAD and CYLINDER HEAD - ROCKERS figures, so it's one of the bolts holding the head down and tying into the rocker box assembly on top of the motor. Catalog appearances for this number run 1969 through 1972.

The old book number and star-suffix variants (68-337, 68-0337*, M68-0337) all point to the same physical bolt, so if your parts book lists it under one of those forms you're in the right place. Given where it sits in the top-end stack, it's worth checking your head and rocker box for the correct length before ordering a batch, since head bolts on these motors come in more than one length depending on position.
We don't have more detail on this one beyond the thread and length spec from the books. If you're rebuilding a top end and need to know exactly how many of this length you need, give us a call and we'll sort it out with you.
