Steering damper nut, part number 65-5328, for the friction-style steering damper at the steering head.

This is the steering damper nut, part number 65-5328, the piece that tightens down the steering damper assembly at the top of the steering head. On the models that used this type of friction damper, the nut is what a rider turns to adjust how much drag is applied to the steering, and it's also what holds the whole damper stack together.
