Tickler pin
Amal carburetor tickler pin used for flooding the float bowl on cold starts, factory PN 622/089.
The 622/089 is the tickler pin used in Amal carburetors on Triumph twins through the early 1970s. The tickler is the little pin that lets you press down on the float to flood the float bowl for a cold start, before electric start and choke levers made that ritual obsolete. It sits right on top of the carb body where you can reach it with a thumb while straddling the bike.

Our catalog shows this part turning up across a run of Amal carburetor figures, including the T100C and T100R listings, through 1974. It's a small, simple piece, but tickler pins wear at the pivot point and can start sticking or leaking fuel from the float bowl if the seal at the base goes.
This number was later superseded by 622/172, so if you're chasing this part and it's out of stock under 622/089, that's the number to ask about. Otherwise, check what your carb currently has installed before ordering, since these pins do vary slightly between Amal carb generations.
